Gitte Brandt is a self-taught painter and has a MA in French and philisophy and has worked as a cultural journalist.
She is married to art-dealer Thomas Brandt with whom she has two daughters Flo, age 27 and Rose, age 23 as well as the dog Dino, age 4.
She lives most of the year by Nyhavn in Copenhagen. Her paintings are created there as well as in Perigord in France.
Her work is selling all over the world.
